Message for Feast of Christ The King – Sunday, November 23, 2025
Brothers and Sisters,
November is designated Missionary Month in the Meadowbrook/ Merrivale Cure. It has been accepted that the message of Mission should be circulated among our congregations regularly. In addition, there should be engagement in meaningful and memorable activities.
As registered communicant members, we are considered members of the Jamaica Church Missionary Society (JCMS). Be reminded that JCMS is the recognized Missionary Agency of the Anglican Church in Jamaica, in the Province of the West Indies.
Based on the Jamaica Church Missionary Society Chairman’s 2024 message, Mission is the essence of who we are as a Church. We have been sent into the world by a missionary God who sent Jesus Christ as Saviour, and the Holy Spirit to sanctify us and all people so we may live in communion with God. Congregations are encouraged to think creatively about mission. Time for prayer, study, teaching, and outreach to the wider communities should be ongoing.
As members, let us keep in focus our role to subscribe financially, as well as assist in raising funds for the work of the Jamaica Church Missionary Society. In addition, it is very important that we pray continually for the work of the JCMS, especially post-hurricane Melissa. Give generously next Sunday, November 30, 2025, Missionary Sunday.
