Message for Missionary Sunday – December 1, 2024

Contribution for Missionary Sunday

Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Today, we celebrate Missionary Sunday in our Cure.

Let us thank God for the work done by The Jamaica Church Missionary Society (JCMS) since we last celebrated Missionary Sunday in 2023. We thank God also for The Rt. Revd. Bishop Garth Minott, Chairman and the rest of the Team who made decisions to carry out the mandate of the Society this past year. May we be encouraged to pray for the work of the Society on an on-going basis, and in addition, promote the work being done.

The chief objectives of the JCMS are establishment, maintenance and extension of missions throughout the Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. It is our prayer that the on-going efforts of the Society to carry out evangelism and social outreach will be expanded.

Be reminded that all registered communicant members of the Church in Jamaica in the Province of the West Indies are considered as members of The Jamaica Church Missionary Society.  As members, we are called to subscribe to, and help the Society’s efforts to raise funds for missionary work. Our participation and generous giving are encouraged.

Let us all give generously today. God loves a cheerful giver. (Give as freely as you have received – Matthew 10: 8b).
